Calling all qualified British primary school teachers!
From recent teaching graduates to experienced education professionals and recently retired teachers, ETC is currently seeking British teachers for the unique opportunity to volunteer at primary schools in the Masai Mara.
The selected teachers will work alongside Kenyan teachers to maximise the potential of local school children. Not only is this a chance to make a difference, but it is also a life changing opportunity for talented individuals to experience the magic of the Masai Mara, its unique people and beautiful wildlife in one of the world’s most famous game reserves.
Are you sure that you are ready for the challenge? Teachers have extremely rigorous routines in short staffed schools, and the emotions of being away from family & friends in an alien environment is often tough to deal with. The niche ETC has over other charities is that it sends out teacher TALENT. It is not an easy job, and so the recruitment process is robust. Our teachers have gone on to become ambassadors for ETC– not just implementing change in the Kenyan classrooms, but also encouraging tourists to donate whilst out there, brining awareness to UK classrooms when they return and continued fundraising & support – the ETC network is continuously growing!
We are also always looking for more general volunteers on the ground and also to assist the UK committee. Please email for info@ETCafrica.org for info pack and application form.
